Easy Cat Drawing Step By Step

Since on the pages of Howtodrawforkids.com I most often show how to draw animals in cartoon style, today I decided not to make exceptions and show you how to draw a cat in a cartoon style. This style is free from unnecessary details and complex lines. Everything here is as simple as possible.

To proceed to the instruction on how to draw a cat very easily, you will need a simple pencil and the simplest piece of paper. In addition, at the very end of the work, you can use paints, crayons, or felt-tip pens to bring your cat drawing to life.

Step 1

Start by drawing the cat head as a flat oval.

Step 2

Now depict the ear as a triangular geometric shape.

Step 3

Now depict the second ear exactly like the first.

Step 4

Now depict two large and round eyes.

Step 5

Depict a small triangular nose in the middle between the eyes.

Step 6

Now depict the mouth like an inverted number 3.

Step 7

Now depict the front leg and rounded chest.

Step 8

Now draw the second front leg next to the first.

Now depict a rounded hind leg like in the image below.

Now depict the curved back of the cat using a smooth line.

Now depict a long tail curving into a large S shape.

I decided to paint the cat light gray, ears and nose pink, and eyes brown, leaving round highlights in them.
